The NBA asked me to create a poster honoring the history of basketball in NYC to celebrate the All Star game being held at MSG.
Using a map of the city to establish physical locations, I added a taxonomy system to connect important people to places throughout the five boroughs. The result is a truly rich display of how the city has greatly impacted the NBA as we know it today.
One of the challenges was creating a visual hierarchy that would highlight different levels and quantities of historical storytelling.
