
This chart scales rappers based on the number of unique words in their first 35,000 recorded words.
In addition to vocabulary size, outer rings denote length of time in the rap game (the more rings, the more tenured).

For this redesign, I opted for illustrations with a limited color palette and gold foil accents.
My original design utilized colors to represent each rapper's place of origin (West Coast, East Coast, Midwest, Southern, International)

This original design (right) was created in collaboration with Matt Daniels from "The Pudding",
who created an algorithm that analyzes song lyrics to gather unique word data.
